Welcome to The Philippines

The Philippines is located in the South China Sea, and its 7107 Islands it's about the size of Norway,Vietnam or the US State of New Mexico. The country has around 90 millions inhabitants. The Philippines was under Spanish rule for almost 400 hundred years and American rule for almost 50 years. The country has been independent since 1946 and it is republic based on the American Constitution. The country has a democratic elected president, and has experienced several years of stability. More than 85% of the citizens are Christians with Roman Catholic as the Dominant fraction.

The country has a full freedom of press and democratic laws. Manila is the capital with more 10-15 million inhabitants. Manila is one of the biggest cities in the world. With more than 7000, mostly unspoiled islands, warm climate around the year and friendly, service minded people, the Philippines has a lot to offer to tourists.

The official languages of the Phipplines are tagalog and English. English is the dominant language in business, politics and education.Most people communicate well in English. Local dialects are used side by side with English and Tagalog, many which are influenced by Spanish.

Welcome to Boracay

The location is 121.55 east and 12.00 north. The time zone is GMT+8. Boracay islands is 7km long and 1-3km wide.

The island has approximately 30,000 registered inhabitants and 3 major villages. Until the 1980's the island was unknown among tourist, and the inhabitants were mostly fishermen. Until now, Boracay is not a typical "tourist machine" If you compare is to other popular tourist destinations in Southeast Asia. You will experience an intimate blend of local culture side by side with exotic hotels and restaurants. The local populations are known to be very open and friendly towards the tourists. Accomodation in Boracay is generally based on cottages, bungalow type hotels with an average of 10-20 rooms, although in the past couple of years, we have seen the rise of bigger, more international style hotel complexes. The quality is dependent on price here as everywhere else.

There are no private cars in boracay and the means of transportation is generally tricycles and bikes and a few service vehicles. Most restaurants and bars are located along the beach. Expatriates and formerly tourist who have settled down for good often operate these. You will find a blend of Filipino and International Food. Where most countries are represented. Most restaurants are open 10:00 - 11:00 P.M., and some nightclubs are opening until morning, depending on season.

The main attraction of the Island is of course the 4km long White sand beaches. This beach has several times been chosen as "The world's most beautiful beach" and on several ranking lists.

The almost 4km White Sand Beaches in Boracay is in other words "The Best Beach"! With its shiny white shallow crystal clear water.

Here you can spend the whole day and at the end of the day enjoy the romantic sunset drinking locan Run under the coconut Trees. There are not many vendors bothering you and the atmosphere is very relaxed.

Boracay is proclaimed a natural reserve by the Philippine authorities. Even the island has multiple bars, hotels, and restaurants; there are now limitations on new building permits, and strict sanitary rules. This makes the island among the cleanest destinations in the region. The surroundings are safe and children-friendly. White sand beach is in itself the biggest tourist attraction on Boracay.
